Michigan Water Environment Association conference notice

The Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) is gearing up for its 101st Annual Conference, taking place from June 15-18, 2026, at the beautiful Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Mountain, Michigan. The event is an incredible opportunity for water quality professionals to come together, share knowledge, and celebrate our collective achievements.

The MWEA conference is not just another event; it’s a hub of learning and networking for nearly 3,000 water quality professionals across Michigan. With a wide array of technical sessions, networking opportunities, and social events, attendees will have the chance to deepen their understanding of current challenges and solutions in the water environment sector. There is also a distinguished award ceremony to applaud the hard work and accomplishments of our industry.

We’re thrilled to announce that Jones & Henry Engineers will be presenting at this year’s conference, featuring a lineup of insightful sessions:

  • June 16: Steve Wordelman will discuss “The Challenges in Determining PFAS Local Limits.” This session is essential for professionals navigating the complexities of PFAS regulations and local water quality standards.
  • June 17: Aaron Davenport, PE, will present “Creating the Largest Disc. Filter Facility in North America – Kalamazoo’s Tertiary Treatment Upgrade.” This session is a must-attend for anyone interested in cutting-edge water treatment technologies.
  • June 18: Tyler Kindle, PE, will conclude our sessions with “Revitalizing Lift Station 3: Triumph Over Hidden Depths and Dated Plans.” This presentation will showcase innovative solutions in infrastructure management.
