A farewell to Tom Filbrun.
As we prepare to celebrate 100 years of achievements, it’s hard to overlook the work of Project Manager Tom Filbrun, who has been a cornerstone of Jones & Henry Engineers for the past 22 years. Tom’s tenure with our team coincided with one of the most significant projects in the City of Carmel: the construction of the 106th Street Pump Station, now commonly known as the Cool Creek Pump Station.
Tasked with developing a state-of-the-art 15 million-gallon-per-day wastewater pump station, Tom navigated the complexities of such an extensive project with unwavering commitment. The project was not just about building infrastructure; it was about addressing the pressing needs of a growing community—ensuring sustainable and reliable wastewater management for years to come.
The project was a multifaceted effort, involving the construction of around 200 feet of sanitary sewer and the essential modifications to an existing pump station. The upgrades and expansions that followed further enhanced the facility, reinforcing its vital role in the city’s infrastructure.
Next Friday marks Tom’s last day with us, and as we prepare to bid him farewell, we reflect on the impact he made during his time here. His contributions have gone beyond just individual projects; they have shaped the direction of our engineering practice and inspired those around him.
Join us in celebrating not just Tom’s tenure, but also the legacy he leaves behind. We wish him the best in his future endeavors, knowing that he carries with him the spirit and mission of Jones & Henry Engineers wherever he goes.
