CAD and BIM Modeling

AutoCAD® and Civil 3D®

Computer-aided design allows Jones & Henry to meet the most complex infrastructure challenges.

Autodesk’s software gets everyone working together to plan and design more successful projects.

Developed and marketed by Autodesk®, AutoCAD and Civil 3D are computer-aided design (CAD) software applications. AutoCAD is among the most widely used CAD programs around, known for its versatility and powerful tools for producing precise 2D and 3D drawings, models, and designs.

Jones & Henry utilizes AutoCAD and Civil 3D for many project types, such as pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, utility plans and profiles, and road reconstruction. Overall, AutoCAD and Civil 3D are powerful and versatile CAD software solutions used by architects, engineers, designers, drafters, and professionals in various industries for multiple projects.

Revit®

BIM software lets Jones & Henry model shapes, structures, and systems in 3D.

Revit helps multidisciplinary project teams become more efficient.

Autodesk Revit is building-information-modeling software used by architects, structural engineers, contractors, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers. Revit users can design buildings or structures and their components in 3D while annotating models with 2D drafting elements and accessing information from the building model’s database.

Multiple disciplines can modify models in real-time, constantly revealing coordination issues before they become costly or time-consuming mistakes. Jones & Henry utilizes Revit for many projects, such as pump stations, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants. Revit allows us to create one model for all plans and sections, saving time and money. Revit also allows Jones & Henry to utilize point cloud scans of existing structures to smart-trace existing elements of a structure for precise existing conditions. Laser scanning collects data on all existing structures in a fraction of the time of traditional methods with fewer people.
