Jones & Henry team members took part in Clean Your Streams Day to support the health of our local waterways.
As the leaves begin to change and the air grows crisp, September brings a cherished tradition to Northwest Ohio: Clean Your Streams Day. This year, on September 27, volunteers from all walks of life came together to participate in an essential environmental initiative aimed at keeping our local waterways clean and healthy.
Since its inception in 1997, Clean Your Streams Day has mobilized over 16,000 passionate volunteers who have collectively removed more than 407,000 pounds of trash from streams, rivers, and ditches throughout the region. Our team at Jones & Henry was proud to join these dedicated individuals in working to protect our precious wildlife habitats and enhance the quality of life in our community.
The event kicked off at seven locations around the greater Toledo area, where volunteers gathered with enthusiasm and determination. Each participant rolled up their sleeves, ready to make a tangible difference in the environment.
Our involvement as an Underwriter for this event reflects our commitment to corporate social responsibility and our deep-rooted belief in giving back to the communities we serve. It’s not just about removing trash; it’s about fostering a sense of stewardship for our planet, raising awareness about environmental issues, and inspiring others to get involved.
The impact of our efforts extends beyond immediate cleanup. A cleaner stream means healthier ecosystems, improved water quality, and enhanced recreational opportunities for future generations. Every piece of debris we picked up was a step toward a sustainable future for our local environment.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the incredible team at Partners for Clean Streams and all the volunteers who made this year’s event a success. Each of you plays a crucial role in protecting the natural beauty of our waterways, and your hard work does not go unnoticed.
Clean Your Streams Day reminds us that, together, we can make a positive impact and ensure that our local streams remain clean and vibrant for years to come.
